Description

ADSL is a broadband service that runs over the conventional analog telephone network.

Application

ADSL data circuits are suitable for business grade Internet access as well as for connectivity into our VoIP carriers where fewer than ten simultaneous calls are required.

Features & Benefits

ADSL Max (Home Office) circuits are excellent entry level services. With downstream speeds of up to 8Mbps they are ideal for access to E-mail and the World Wide Web.

ADSL Max Premium (Business) products offer further features such as additional IP addresses and double the upstream speed: up to an impressive 832kbps.

Bespoke ADSL solutions are available in LLU Exchange areas and we are happy to quote for circuits with particular contention ratios according to customer needs.

We also offer Assured ADSL services for non-Internet use. These are services that come with a managed Cisco router and are designed specifically for VoIP traffic with real-time monitoring.

Requirements

Each ADSL service requires a single analog telephone line, clear of special features such as RedCare, DACS, Featureline and Switchboards. Circuit availability is subject to further surveys and line tests.

Access

ADSL services are compatible with standard off-the-shelf modems and routers and are a required interface between the customer’s telephone outlet and their IT or telephone systems. Swains are able to supply these preconfigured so customers can connect them “plug-and-play” with all the login details already set up.

Assured ADSL comes with a managed Cisco router as standard.

Summary

Swains have various ADSL services available from carriers including BT Wholesale, Demon RSL, Murphx and Griffin. Further information and quotations are available on request.
